Components
Dal Makhani Ingredients:
2 cups whole urad dal,
8 cups water,
2 tsp salt,
1 tsp ginger, chopped,
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil,
2 tbsp shahi jeera,
1 tbsp kasturi mithi,
2 cups tomato puree,
1 tbsp Red chili powder,
1 tsp sugar,
1 ½ cups cream, Green chilies: cut lengthwise (for garnish)
HOW TO MALE DAL MAKANI
Add water, a pinch of salt and ginger to the lentils and keep them simmering until they are soft. 2. Heat butter in a heavy bottom pan and add shahi jeera, kasturi methi. When it splutters, add the tomato puree, remaining salt, chillies and sugar and fry on high heat till the oil separates. 3. Now add the boiled lentils and mix well Remember that the dal should not be too thick or too thin 4. If needed, you can add some water Keep it on low flame without covering it
Pour the cream over the top and serve immediately Don't forget to garnish with green chilies
You can serve Recipe Nut Dal Makhani with tandoori roti or rice.
