Paneer Butter Masala

For the Onion Tomato Paste:
▢1 tsp butter
▢1 tsp oil
▢1 onion, chopped
▢1 inch ginger
▢3 clove garlic
▢2 tomatoes, chopped
▢10 cashews
Other Ingredients:
▢2 tbsp butter
▢2 pods cardamom
▢1 bay leaf
▢¼ tsp turmeric
▢1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
▢¼ tsp garam masala
▢¼ tsp cumin powder
▢1 cup water
▢½ tsp sugar
▢1 tsp salt
▢2 tbsp cream
▢20 cubes paneer / cottage cheese
▢2 tbsp coriander, chopped
▢½ tsp kasoori methi, crushed
▢¼ tsp garam masala
Instruction
firstly, in a large kadai heat 1 tsp butter and 1 tsp oil.
Saute 1/2 onion, 1/2 inch ginger and 1/2 clove garlic until it softens slightly.
Now add 2 tomatoes and 10 cashew nuts for a minute
Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and mushy
Cool completely and transfer to a blender
Blend to a smooth paste and add water if needed
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add 2 pods of cardamom pods and fry bay leaves.
Keep on low flame and add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and ¼ tsp cumin powder.
Saute the masala until fragrant without burning
Add the prepared onion to the tomato paste and fry well
Clean until the oil separates from the sides
Next add 1 cup water, ½ teaspoon sugar and 1 teaspoon salt
Add consistency as needed
Next, add 2 tbsp of cream and mix well
Now add 20 cubes of paneer and mix slowly
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until flavor is absorbed
Add 2 more teaspoons of coriander, ½ teaspoon of kasuri methi and ¼ teaspoon of garam masala. Mix well
Finally, enjoy paneer butter masala with roti or naan

First, prepare the curry with butter for the best taste of Makhani recipe
